Viewing and Commencement
Viewing of auction lots is from 13:00
on the day of the auction. Please do not inconvenience the auction staff
by viewing the lots before 13:00 as they are busy cataloguing the lots
and arranging them for the auction. The auction starts at 14:00. You are
advised to get here early as the auction can get very busy and tables
are limited. You may reserve a table in advance of the auction by
calling 96 640 4364. All unsold items must be removed by the vendors by
19:00 in the evening following the auction.
Auction Catalogues
You can buy an auction
catalogue from the staff or from behind the bar for 50 cents in order
for you to make notes and mark down lots you are interested in bidding
for during the auction. It will also allow you to plan your auction to
help prevent missing lots that may come up when you are out of the room.
All money from the catalogue goes towards charity.
Disallowed Items
The following items will not be accepted into the
auction: 2nd hand clothes, gas bottles of any sort, electrical
or mechanical items that are not guaranteed by the vendor to be in
working order, mixed boxes of oddments, illegal goods or substances,
pirated music or video media, dangerous goods (including those of a
flammable nature), items not of merchantable quality (items which ought
to be thrown in the dustbin will not be accepted).
The auction manager reserves the right not to accept
lots which are believed to be unsuitable for inclusion. Their decision
is final.
Lot Fees
For all lots sold, the vendor will pay
12.5% of the sale value as commission to the auction. The buyer will pay
a fixed 50 cents fee on top of the successful bid value for lots
purchased below 20 euros and 1 Euro for lots purchased above 20 euros.
Buyer payments must be made immediately following the successful bid and
will be collected by the auction money collector. Payments by vendors
must be made by 18:00 following the auction or by special arrangement
with the Auction Manager. All money raised from lot fees and catalogue
sales is put into the charity fund, after a small amount is taken to
cover auction related expenses.
Charities
In addition to the special charity
auctions, where all proceeds raised in the auction are donated to that
charity, money raised throughout the year is dispersed to a variety of
local charities. |
